At first hand it seems to be a sort of lovestory in a mechastyle, in one direction, but more and more , little by little, you get in touch with so many civilians and crazy militarymen. I donīt even know where to start. Renton knows who Holland is, because he is a famous rebellian and is captain/leader of the Gekkostate. The ship is called Gekkostate, because it looks like a gecko. Rentonīs father was a famous researcher and Rentonīs sister, Diane had a close relationship to Holland, which Renton discovered later on in the series. In episode 35 you will know what kind of relationship Holland and Dewey have. Eureka, is a pretty girl with a stoneface, with some odd habits and behaviours, but Renton doesnīt care, he falls in love in her, at first sight. But Eureka is a special girl, who has some connection with Scub and scub coral. The first LFO, has got a so called Compac Drive. Some of the LFOs can be understood by Eureka, as the first LFO and the LFO which is shaped as a tarantela. Those LFOs are similar to the robots in "Neon Genesis Evangelion", to the looking but quite friendly. This tarantela is controlled by a girl named Anemone. Dominic, who is a young military man, falls in love with Anemone. She also seems to be an ordinary girl, but isnīt, which Dominic will know later on. Anemone has got a funny pet, which is very heavy and looks like a mole. Or?
The military wants to destroy the scub coral, since it and its leader think the scub coral is a threat to the humans. By the way, the scub coral figures, looks like sea-"thingy". To destroy the scub coral you need to get through the Great Wall to the Promised land and destroy the Coral cluster. After several episodes you surely know that Renton and the others donīt live on Earth. There is so many details to remember to completely understand whatīs happening, such as what has the priest Norbu to do with this? What is "Second summer of love"? What is Vadarock? What is Seven swell? The children who call Eureka for Mama, why do they? Well, all those questions and other ones you might have, you will have an answer to. Puh. Eureka Seven is an animé which suits to be 50 episodes long. Nice to see skateboarding in the air. I liked the LFOs. And yes, there is even a famous newspaper, which is called Ray=out. So many cool guys, girls, men women. I canīt cover the complete story, but this is a start and hopefully gives you the interest to watch "Eureka Seven". Love, mecha, jealousy, drama, sci-fi. It has got it all.
